By now you probably know a kite buggy is some kind of wind powered vehicle. That isn’t a lot of detail.  Let me fill in some of the gaps.  A kite buggy is a three wheeled land sailer that uses a kite instead of a traditional sail.  The buggy consists of a small three wheeled tubular frame with a fabric seat attached to it. The pilot sits in the seat and steers the single front wheel with his feet while his hands are busy flying the kite. The kite bears almost no resemblance to any kite you might have flown into a tree as a kid. These kites are four-line, ram-air inflated traction kites and come in sized varying from 1.5 square meters to 10.5 square meters. Don’t let that intimidate you. DOA will teach you to safely use your kite and buggy. If my description doesn’t make sense, just check out the pictures to the left.
