     Nitrox

    Air is a combination of 79.1% nitrogen and 20.9% oxygen. Nitrox is a special blend of nitrogen and oxygen with increased oxygen levels. This course certifies you to use up to 40% oxygen. Despite the popular misconception, nitrox is not for deep diving.  It actually limits your maximum depth.  The benefits of nitrox are less nitrogen on-gassing and shorter surface intervals. Use of nitrox when making many repetitive dives over several days adds a safety margin and can make you feel a little less tired at the end of each day.
