    Dry Suit Diver

    $100 + books

Not all water boasts a balmy 84 degree temperature.  The waters around the Channel Islands in Southern California are in the 60’s year round. Sure, there are nice, thick wet suits that will keep you from edging too far into hypothermia, but a dry suit actually keeps you warm.  When I first started diving in my drysuit, I got some harrassment from wet suit divers on the boats. After the dives, I was still warm and dry while they were wet and shivering. When diving cold water, especially in cooler air temperatures, a dry suit is the way to go.  The Dry Suit Diver course teaches you to use and care for your dry suit.
